Maintain a lovely neighbourhood

Together, we keep your estate clean, safe, and a great place to live.
We work with Barnsley Council and other partners to improve your homes and local environment — but it all starts with our local Neighbourhood Teams.

Meet Your Neighbourhood Team

Your local Neighbourhood Team is here to support you.
They're small, friendly teams who help with housing issues, estate upkeep, and community wellbeing.

What They Do:

  • Help you with tenancy questions or concerns

  • Support during neighbour disputes

  • Regularly check estates for issues (like fly-tipping or damage)

  • Work with police and council to address anti-social behaviour

  • Make sure empty properties are ready to re-let

Look out for team members on your estate – they carry ID badges and are happy to chat.

Local Partnerships:

We work closely with:

  • Barnsley Council

  • South Yorkshire Police

  • Local schools and community groups

  • Councillors and social services

Together, we solve problems and improve your estate — faster and better.

What You Can Do to Support Your Neighbourhood

We'll work together to keep our estates a place we can all be proud of. We appreciate your help and involvement in keeping your local area clean, tidy, and a nice place to live.

You can:

  • Adhere to the conditions of your Tenancy Agreement

  • Be a good neighbour

  • Report any problems of anti-social behaviour, graffiti, litter, or abandoned cars

  • Let us know if a home has been abandoned (remember some of our homes may be unoccupied while major works are being carried out so they can be re-let)

  • Join us on our estate walkabouts

  • Send us your comments on how we can improve your home or neighbourhood

  • Get involved with volunteering and other community activity
